RESIDENTIAL NURSERY

LOWER HUTT BRANCH The annual general meeting of the Lower Hutt Branch of the Residential Nursery was held in the Waimarie Croquet Club's rooms on October 30th, the president, Mrs. Hooson, presiding. There was a good attendance of members and honorary members. On behalf of the members Mrs. Hooson welcomed Mrs. Porter and Miss Shepherd, from Wellington. The annual report and balance sheet showed that the branch had had a very successful year, and Mrs. Porter congratulated the members on their efforts. During the afternoon Miss Shepherd gave an interesting address describing the recent renovations at the nursery. The election of officers for the ensuing year resulted: President, j Mrs. W. Hooson; vice-presidents, ' Mesdames W. Nash, F. Campbell, ' Neilson and Knox; hon. secretary, Mrs. J. A. Peterson; hon. treasurer, j Mrs. Wilson. J Last year's committee were reelected, with the addition of Mesdames Flux and Lough. During afternoon tea Mrs. Hooson presented Mrs. Porter and Miss Shepherd with boxes of flowers.
