The Hutt Valley Tennis Sub-association's annual match with the Northern District sub-associa-tion resulted in the A team being beaten by 8 matches and 20 sets to 8 matches and 21 sets, and the B team winning by 9 matches to 7. Details of the results 'are as follows, Hutt Valley players being mentioned first A Teams. Women's Singles: Miss B. Strang beat MiSB T. Monk, 6-3, 2-6, 6-2; Miss M. Flaherty beat Miss G. McDavitt, 6-4, 2-6, 6-4; Miss N. Liver beat Mrs. Watts, 2-6, 6-5, 6-4; Miss N. Kirkus beat Miss Henderson, 6-3, 6-5. Men's Singles: D. Parata lost to M. Cameron, 1-6, 6-4, 2-6; D. Barry lost to A. Henderson, 1-6, 4-6; J. Hepwdrth lost to E, Peryman, 4-6, 3-6; V. Pointon last to G. Ryan, 2-6, 3-6. Women's Doubles: Misses Strang and O'Flaherty beat Miss McDavitt and Mrs. Watts, 1-6, 6-1, 7-5; Misses Liver and Kirkus lost to Misses, Monk and Henderson, 5-6, 6-3,3-6.
