WELLINGTON SUBURBS ,AND HUTT Little interest was shown in the election of a. committee for Wellington Suburbs, and which was necessitated by the alteration of the electoral boundaries for the last General Election. Wellington Suburbs was formerly a no-license district. There were seven nominations for the five seats, and the poll resulted as follows:— : Votes Carman, Arthur Herbert .. .. 405 Grant, Ronald . 383 Dowse, Percy .. 376 Hornig, William Francis .. .. 351 Hollands, Edwin Frank .. ..335 - (The above are elected.) Butler, Peter Michael 325 Huggan, Joseph 301 HUTT, Out of over. 15,000 electors, only 354 voted in the Hutt district. There were six candidates for five seats, and the result was:— August, J.
