FANCY DRESS PARTY

The children's fancy dress party, organised by Mesdames E. O'Neill and C. Wysocki, in aid of funds for the forthcoming bazaar in connection with St. Peter's and Paul's Church, was attended by several hundreds of children tod their parents. Items were given by Beatrice Taylor, Patricia Aldridge, and Hazel Guise. Mrs. M. McCracken and Mr. B. O'Brien supervised the programme of games and competitions. Mrs. C. G. Collins and Mrs. F. Cooper judged the fancy dresses. Beatrice Taylor, Jeanette McCracken and Betty Evans presented the judges and Mrs: McCracken with bouquets. The Rev. Father L. Daly presented Mrs. M'cCracken with a bouquet and a box of chocolates from the children, and Mrs. O'Brien with a box of chocolates. The prize-winners were Barbara Ross, Noeline and Elaine Matheson, Kathleen Martin, Margaret Iteddy, Barbara Hunt, Ursula Benefield,' Pauline Benefield, Valda Jones, Anne Hines, Fay Mitchell, Kevin Ross, Brian Wheeler, Mona and John McKeene, Monica Simon, Ned Staples, Ken Nord, John Coffey, Audrey Tangney, Teresa Hanson, Marie Pearce, Elaine Dorward, Joyce Delaney, Peter Hodgins, Bob Rooke, John Delaney, and Pat Phillips. Those in charge of the afternoon tea arrangements were Mesdames E. O'Neill, C. Wysocki, K. Forster, L. Webberley, A. L. Parker, F. Warmington, Humphries, K. Morrison, O'Brien (2), and D. Orr, Misses Kathleen Hickey, Ngaire Cooper, Marie and Joyce Fauvel, Madge Redmond, Cecilia Shanley, Messrs. G. Shanley, Devlin, P. O'Brien and T. Redmond.
