LOYAL ROSE OF THE VALLEY < LODGE The last meeting was well attended, and one new member was initiated into the Lodge and Order. Bro. Seddon, superintendent of the Juvenile Lodge •reported in respect to arrangements made for .the Juveniles to visit the Juvenile Lodge. Bro. He we:- reported 011 the Wellington Past Gram'.s' Lodge Meeting and advised members that arrangements had been made to .pay a week-end visit to Wairaarapa Lodges at the beginning of October. The Annual Dance of the Past Clrands Lodge is to be held in the middle of October. BELLEVUE LODGE No. 126 1.0.0. F. The usual fortnightly meeting of Bellevue lodge No. 126 1.0.0. F. was held in the R.'S.A. Hall, High Street at 7.30 .p.m. 011 the evening of 12th September, 1938 there being a very good attendance and two official visits. The Bowls committee has now decided final details in connection with play for the indoor bowls cup which is for competition between male lodges of Hutt Valley district. An official visit was paid by Bro. K. Delaney District Dep. Grand Master and his staff and also from Bro. Geo. Leedkin Deputy Grand Master of Wellington District accompanied by two members from Zealandia Lodge Wellington. The final result of nominations of officers for uext annual term was as under: —N. Grand, Bro. G. Davison, nominated; vice Grand, Bro. J. Trigger, nominated; Bro. Jim Trigger, nominated; Bro. R. B. Lind, nominated; rec. secretary, Bro. Forbes TayloT, nominated; Bro. L. Brookr,, naminated; Bro. 1?. B. Lind, nominated'. Financial Secretary, Bro. W. Turner, nominated.; treasurer, Bro. Macdonald, nominated; Bro. H. Haines, nominated. With so many nominations the election at next meeting will be a very keenly contested one. Business was brought to a close by an exchange of |raternal greetings between Bellevue Lodge and the visitors.

McmbeTs then adjourned to the "19th hole" and partook of a light supper after which indoor bowls and table tenflis was the order of the day.
