ST. STEPHEN'S WOMEN'S ASSOCIATION.

The executive of St. Stephen's Women's Association (Mesdames McCallum, Marshall, Barron, Cole, Ferguson, I Iversley and Miss Allen) entertained j a large gathering of members and friends recently, the occasion being the first birthday of the Association. The meeting opened with the Lord's Prayer in unison. The usual monthly business was then dealt with. Mrs. Pliillipps sang a song entitled "A Birthday" and responded to an encore with "The Melody of Life." Mesdames I Phillipps and MeCallum sang a duet 'Music and her Sister Song" tho accompaniments being played by Mrs. lit. J. Wells. These items were much appreciated and a hearty vote of thanks passed to the performers who were presented with artistic posies of daphne. a delicious afternoon tea was served, including a birthday cake, the gift of Miss Allen, one of the' original members of the Women's Guild. During the afternoon Miss Allen gave a ibrief resume of the work of the Guild and the Association showing the steady progress made. The singing of two verses of a hymn brought to a close a most enjoyable afternoon.
