CORRESPONDENCE.

(To the Editor.) •Sir, —At the request of several residents I desire to thank you for publishing "Resident's" letter in your valuable paper o,f July 9, 1937. Owing to the publicity given the nuisance was abated' almost immediately; in fact, we have not seen any stock on the unfenced sections since and we fully appreciate having clean footpaths to walk on again. This is due to the free and generous use of your paper which appears to be open to all who desire to forward reasonable correspondence for publication. We also wish to offer a word of praise to the Borough ranger whose duties are very strenuous and cover a wide area. We believe him to be a very conscientious worker and one who -will carry out his duties -without fear or favour and our previous letter was in no way intended to deprecate his valuable work. —We are, etc. GRATEFUL RESIDENTS.
