EX-STUDENTS' MEETING.
A well attended meeting of She Hutt Valley Memorial Technical College exStudents' Association, was held on Wednesday, July 28th in the Assembly Hall. The president, Mr A. M. lieid, was in the chair, ibeing supported by the executive, consisting of Misses R. Hwne, (secretary), M. Edwards (trea* surer), jSL Fisher, F. Townsend, £}. Marsh, Z. Wilton, A. llobins, G. Walker, ami l Messrs J. Taplin, F. Walker, E. Reid, J. Dempsey and S. Wynyard. In the course of his opening remarks the president gave an outline of the work done by the executive since its appointment at the last annual meeting. Several successful dances had been held for various objects, and a dramatic circle had been formed. The meetI ing approved of the raising of funds tc assist with the provision of a icurtain for the stage to be ercctcd in the Assembly Hall. Tributes were paid to the splendid support received from the College principal, Mr. A. McFadyen, and from the teaching staff. A design for an ex-student's Mazer was submitted, and was agreed to be adopted (with the approval of the Board of Governors. A sub-committee was set up to go into the matter of a ladLes' cricket team. The matter of a social club was left in the hands of the executive. Proceeding with the suggestion of presenting a framed photograph bf the principal, to be hung in the entrance hall, it was decided to invirte contributions from any ex-students who may care to subscribe. An endeavour is foe* ing made to have the picture reejjy by the next exhibition of' work which the school will hold. The annual subscription o,f one shilling and sixpence for membership of 'the Association is payable to the treasurer, Miss M. Edwards, 3i) Plunket 'Avenue, Petone.
