ALICETOWn WOMEN'S CLUB.

The November meeting of tho Alicetown Women 'a Club took the form of a "Member's Day". Mrs Lock wood presiding and Mrs, Melrose acting i\s 'secretary. , A Koll Call "What jobs husbands should do in the house" caused much amusement. Two songs were delightfully sung by Mrs Taylor—"Absent," and "Love's Old Sweet Song" Mrs Vinsen being the acccmpanist. Members of the Dramatic Circle, Masdames Melrose Vinsen and McDougal, read two very amusing plays "Some Showers" and "Early Closing." Mrs Christophers gave a pleasant rendering of' two songs at the piano "Hymns of the Old Church Choir" and "L Heard You Go By." Competitions were won by Mesdamcs Burrow and Evans, the prir.es being donated by Mesdamcs McJlichol and Olsen. The serving of a dainty aftenn.)'i tea by the committee, and the singing of the National Anthem, brought a happy afternoon to a close.
