LOWER RATES IN FORCE. In accordance with Mr Coates's decision to revert to the flat rate for grams, the following reduced telegraph charges became operative from September 19: — 1 Inland ordinary telegrams: A flat rate of Id per word with a minimum charge of Cd per message. Inland letter telegrams: A flat rate of 1/- for 24 words and Id for each additional two words. i Prepaid Keplv. — The minimum amount which may be deposited in prepayment of a reply is 6d.
