Thr monthly meeting'of the Lower Hutt W.C.T.U. was held in the Church of Chris! on Wednesday, I lie president !h■ i 1 in the chair, and a i'air attendance uf members. Airs. lialJun 1 vno l,uuk ;he devotions, and the pledge was repeated I>y ail members. Visitors -wore present from the Whangarei and Wellington South I"uions. One new member was received into the union. Literature was distributed to members during afternoon tea, the hostesses for the afternoon being' Mesdanies Ballantyne and Baigent. Arrangements were made for a "coin afternoon" for next month, which will be of a social nature. The meeting- closed with the Benediction. ; ,
