HUTT VALLEY TKOOP. '' The newly-constituted Hutt Valley 'Troop of the .Legion of Frontiersmen held their Jirst social evening last week 'when an enjoyable time was spent by those present in games, competitions, and dancing. A. clever exhibition of conjuring "was presented by "I'rofessor Fooleuiski,'' anit Miss 15. Matlieson played the accompaniments for the dancing. Prizes for the competitions were won by Mesdames Barrett, and Marshall. One game which piovided great excitement was a paper football match between the "I'etone lielles" and the "Hu'.t Dames," which resulted in a draw, 1-all Among those present -were Mr and Mrs. Henderson, -Mr. arid Mrs. 11. Winnie, Mr and Airs F. Winnie, Mr. and Mrs. Marshall, Mr and Mrs. Barrett, Mr and' Mrs Harris, Mr and Mrs. I'. Anderson, Mr and Mrs. I''. Duvies, Mr and Mrs Parranl, Mr and Mrs l'oyitter. .Mrs Larushaw, Misses Cloud, L. Uavies, B. Matlieson, CuulilTe, and Messrs W. .Smith. J. K, Uavies, iTarvey, Collins, together with Peter and John. About twelve members of the troop were present. i
