"NOW COMES THE CASSOWARY."

1 —. — None of those who have. enjoyed plays given by Chilton Saint James in the past will willingly miss seeing their performance of "Now Comes The Cassowary" in the Town Hall Concert Chamber on Friday and Saturday next. Although primarily a children's play, it has much to appeal to the grown-up. It abounds in tuneful and amusing lyrics, and the story, moving rapidly through palace, village green, eastern bazaar and enchanted wood,, provides both humour and charm. Through it all moves the Cassowary, mysterious, elusive, now pursued and now pursuing, .seemingly inconsequent and yet, in the end, successfully punishing the evil-doer and rewarding the deserving. The cast numbers over CO, and costumes and scenes are unusually attractive.
