HUTT VALLEY CLUB. (By "Gay Pied.") In conjunction with the recent* flock race from Mercer ah interval race was flown from Frankton Junction, an airline distance of 238 miles.. The birds were kindly liberated by Mr. Poutney at 15 minutes intervals in overcast weather. The results were us follows: 1, A. Bold and Son, 919.0 yards per minute; 2, J. Hardgrave, 772.9; 3, D. Andrews, 747.2; 4, K. Leigh ton and Son's "Frills," 737.0; 5, R. Clark and Soil'#. "Hard Hit," 730.5. There were tiie only members to clock in. A flock race was flown from Auckland, 303 miles airline, on November 3, the birds being liberated by the stationmaster at 7 a.m. The birds evidently met bad weather as they were twelve hours on the win. The following results were recorded: — • 1, A. Bold and Son's "Early Dawn" 707.5 yards per minute; 2, P. Mexted, 700.5; 3, Iv. Clark and Son's "Kita" 700.1; 4, D. Andrews,' "Blackmint" 705.4; 5, K. Leighton and Son's "Grill'o," 754.5; 0, C. Philp's "Shamrock" 752.5; 7, J. Dallenger's "Best of All," 731).4; S, K. lteid and Son clocked in at 0.20 a.m on the day following liberation. Coming Relay Race. Hutt Valley members are keenly looking forward to the relay race which takes place shortly. There will be three races flown on th-i same day from different race points: Helensville, 310 miles; Frankton Junction, 238 miles; and Mananui 102 miles. The race from Frankton is for yearlings only and will be flown far the title of yearling champion. The three races are one bird flock .races (one member, one bird), and all flown on the same day. RACE FROM HELENSVILLE. The Hutt Valley Homing Club flew a flock race over the week end from Helensville, 310 miles airline. The bind«s had good flying conditions and made the journey in 7-J hours, the result's being as follows: —.1, A. Bold and son's "Radiant Dawn" 1220 yards per minute; 2, R. Clark and Son's "Kita" 1210.3; 3, R. Leighton and Son's "Posy" 1182.1; 4, A. Barnes' "Slipper," 1181.0; 5, C. Philp's "(Shamrock," 1100.0, D. Andrews' "Waterloo," 1103.S; 7, W. S. Bond's "Philpo" 979.1.
