KING GEORGE THEATRE SUNDAY, 20th MAY, 1934. The chairman of the Lower Hutt Relief Committee (Mr. J. W. Andrews), lias pleasure in announcing that by courtesy of Australian Celebrity Pictures Ptg Ltd., and the proprietors of the King George Theatre, Cecil B de Milles' great picturc "The King of Kings" will be screened at the King George Theatre on Sunday, 20th May, the object being to raise funds for the relief of distress in the district.

The musical accompaniment has .been described as inagniliccnt, the singing of the Hallelujah Chorus by massed voices being very impressive. The picture depicts the life of ' Ihe King of Kings" from His boyhood to Calvary. During the evening Mrs Wilfred Andrews will sing Gounnod's "0, Divine Redeemer." A silver coin collection will be taken up and it is hoped that patrons will give generously and thereby help to assist those who are in need. The doors of the theatre will open at 7.30 p.lll and the screening will commence at 8.15 p.m. Contributors of an amount of l/l> to the Mayor's Fund for the relief of distress ay obtain receipt from any member of the committee or at the Willows, and the committee gives an undertaking that a soat will be reserved for each receipt issued.
