KNOX WINTER CLUB.

The opening evening of the Knox Winter Club was held in Knox Schoolroom 011 Tuesday, Ist May. The enter tainment took the form of a fancy dress and masked social. About a hundred people were present, most of whom wore gala dress and many interesting and original costumes were to be seen. The prize winners were Mrs Joyce, "Fire Prevention," and Eev. J. T. Macky who represented "The Opening of the Shooting Season, 1434." The M.C., Mr J. E. Hopkirk, and a committee of helpers, provided a lively programme of games and competitions, interspersed with songs by Mrs Burgess and Miss F. Smith, and a recitation by Mr Woolley.

Supper was served and the evening closed with the singing of "Auld Lang Syne."
