{The members ot the Borough Council staff met on "Friday afternoon to bid farewell to Miss M. Micßain who is leaving the Council's employ, after

nine years service.

The Town Clerk, Mr -B. S. Knox, in presenting Miss Mcßain with a .handsome clock and a piece of crystal ware on behalf of the staff, said tfyat he could not wish for a more loyal, efficient and courteous officer than the guest of the afternoon. He understood that Miss Mjcßain would shortly be •ontering married life and on behalf of the staff and himself he wished her every good wish for her future happiness. Mr Knox said that he was very pleased to see with them Mrs Mcr Millan and Mra Roy Clothier, two former members of the staff. \
