The Junior Red Cross Circle of : Stokes Valley School held a sale of work in the sehol on Saturday last, The affair was entirely organised and cax-. ried out by the children, the eldest of whom is barely 13 and the result •deserves the highest commendation.

The valley was canvassed -with, the result that five stalls were stocked with vegetables, cakes, fancy goods, etc. There was also a bran tub and a dart
