A little cold tea mixed with warm water and applied with a soft woollen cloth will make stained woodwork look fresh and bright.

This prevents it running out of the roll when it is being cooked. * » * * To remove finger marks from wallpaper make a stiff dough of flour and "water. Rub over the marks and you will find that they will quickly disappear, leaving the paper quite clean. * * * * * Make little bags of muslin or silk fill thorn with lavender flowery and hang them on the ends of your coathangers. The lavender perfume is very fragrant in your coat. * • * • • Energetic women are far the handsomest to be mot. They keep themselves in good condition by exercise and they are so much used to walking smartly that they hold themselves well. They arc not fat, but firm and well set up. When using marking-ink for linen, first mark the initials on the linen with an ordinary lead-pencil and then trace with the ink over the pencil marks. The pencil will prevent the ink from spreading and giving the linen a blotted appearance.
