LOWER HUTT MOTHERS' UNION.

The Lower Hutt branch of the Mothers' Union had a most successful meeting recently, when Her Excellency Lady Alice Fergusson addressed the members. There was a large attendance, and Her Excellency's address waa followed with close attention, and it proved most interesting. The president, Mrs. Hansell, moved a very hearty vote of thanks to Her Excellency.

A dainty afternoon tea was served by

members.

Before taking her departure -Lady Alice waa asked by the secretary, Mrs. Mo watt, to accept a bouquet on behalf of the members.
