DENTAL CLINIC.

Speaking at the reception tendered to delegates of the Plunket Society lfiSt Llatiirday Mr A. J. Gearing said:— '' The Dental Clinic in Lower Hutt is under the control of the Health Depart- , ient. They supply the nurse as well aa till utensils and equipment. A Dental C.inic committee is formed of delegates >om all school committees who are roi.ponsible for the rent of the room, lighting, heating and incidental expenses. When, the Lower Hutt clinic was riv3t formed it was found necessary to <all on the school committees for funds, bet for the past two years, thanks to the support given by parents and the Boi ough Council, the clinic committee ha 3 been able to finance themselves. His Worship the Mayor has made reference to the grants given by the Council, a»d we of the dental clinic are grateful to the Council" for its support, as a result of which we are now enabled to engage in propaganda work to secure the assistance of parents in the work being doa% This assistance is very necessary, for without it much of the work done by the r.urse is undone unless parents insist on the regular use of the tooth brush, awl the provision of clean wholesome foo 1. The committee is particularly fortunate in having Nurse Cornwall in charge.
