HUTT DISTRICT CRICKET CLUB.

With the approach of spring and, we hope, better weather, cricketers will bestir themselves and examine last year's white boots and flannels. On Thursday, 30th August, at 8 p.m., the Hutt District Cricket Club will hold their annual meeting in the Lodge-room, Town Hall, when a full attendance of old and intending new members is requested. The 19th annual report and balance sheet to be presented thereat reveals the club % to be in a very satisfactory position financially and otherwise, due partly to efficient management and partly to the generous support received and interest shown by residents of the district!

The prospects for the coming season are bright and no doubt the club will be strengthened as the progress of settlement in the district' during the last year or so has been phenomenal.
