T() THE EDITOR. Sin, —Others besides myself have often wondered from what source your puhlished accounts of the various football matches played on l'ukeroa were ohtained. Fur really it seems somewhat funny that the names of players, who were not so fortunate as to distinguish themselves invariably appear in your paper with all the credit and kudos for getting through and gaining the puints which were in reality obtained by other players, whose names are (carefully:-) omitted.—Yours, &c, Enthusiast, but not player. [We publish this letter though the writer does not append his name as a guarantee of good faith. Peradventure he may be the solitary individual whose identity escaped the eagle eye of our football reporter on the occasion of the To Puke match.-* Ed. 11.L.C.
