SCHOOL COMMITTEE ELECTION.

A meeting of residents took place in the Schoolroom-Monday nighfcfbr the purpose ofreceiving the annual reportand balanceshcetandelecting a new School committee. Mrs Ann Robertson 10 and Mr D. W. Steele 10. The first seven were declared duly elected. At the meeting of committee which followed Mr Purcell was again elected chairman and Mr Robinson, secretary and treasurer. The report of the visiting inspector was read but as the inspection had been made on a day when only onefifth of the pupils was present it was only moderately satisfactory. It was decided to call for tenders for the cleaning of the school returnable at next meeting, May 26. It was also resolved that future meetings should take place on the fourth Tuesday of each month.
