A SINGULAR ACCIDENT.
A remarkable accident occurred to the Deniliquin to Hay (Now South Wales) coach on April 9. Shortly after tho coach left the Sixteen-mile Gums a violent thunderstorm, with vivid lightning, was met with. A tlash of Hghining struck tho oil-side leader, which was killed instantly. This frightened tho rest of the t< an . and Mr Lloyd, Cobb's I (eniliquin agent, ran to the head of the other leader to hold sooner was this done than a second flash of lightning struck tho near-side wheeler, causing it to sink on its haunches and throw its forelegs up in the air. The horse was, however, only paralysed, not killed, and managed to •walk away after the harness had boon taken off.
