NOT TOO MUCH MARRIED TO ELOPE.
♦ A painful elopement case came before the A'bury Court on Monday, when "\\ r . Cuff was charged with stealing the furniture of W. H. Murray, of Temora. The prosecutor, a married man with leu children, said accused was courting his eldest daughter, but was refused the paternal consent. On reluming homo on the 7th, witness found that his wife and accused had eloped, taking the furniture with them, and leaving the children. At Albury bis wife and accused were residing in the same house, Cuff being passed off as her son. Cuff said he did not steal the furniture, and that it was m Mrs Murray's name at the railway station. Murray, who was move • to tears in ths witnessbox, said ho was now penniless, with seven young children on his hands, and that he would have to tramp back to Teinora. Accused was remauded to Temora.
