A FATAL SLEEP.

An extraordinary story was told at the Birmingham coroner's court recently during an inquest on the body of Beatrice Newoy, aged 17, 'who was fatally burned through her clothes becoming iginited while sho was asleep on a chair beforo the fire. The mother stated that deceased, whenever she sat down, fell asleep. This somnolency was inherited hy a second daughter, and when sho sat down, whether morning, noon, or night, or whether before or after meals, she fell into a sound sleep. It was while the girls were slumbering near the fire, after having partaken of supper, that deceased's clothes caught firo. A verdict of accidental death was returned.
