PERSONALS

The death occurred in Wellington, yesterday, of Mr. James Lachlan McIntyre. The deceased was the eldest son of Mr. J. Mclntyre, one time headmaster of the Levin School, and spent his boyhood in Levin. He enlisted for the Great War from Levin and after serving for some time returned to New Zealand with his health seriously impaired and his demise terminates many years of suffering.

The funeral of the late Mrs. McTaggart took place at Levin yesterday afternoon when there was a very representative cortege, including His Worship the Mayor (Mr. P. W. Goldsmith), representatives of the Fire Brigade and other local bodies. The Rev. J. Dennis conducted a very impressive ceremony at the residence of the deceased and also officiated at the graveside. A number of beautiful floral tributes were placed on the casket.
