UNUSUAL HAPPENING
TWO MEN PAINT AT WEDDING MELBOURNE, Sept. 30. The unusual sight of an unconscious man lying on the church vestry floor, while friends feverishly searched through his pockets, was merely one of the unexpected happenings at a recent wedding at Moe, in Gippsland, Australia. The unconscious man was acting as best man at the marriage of a brother, Mr. Laurence Alwyn Mills, to Miss ■Sheila Kerr by the Rev. J. Fraser at St. Andrew’s Church. A minute or two before the time arrived when he should have handed the wedding ring to the Minister, Mr. Ivan Mills, the best man, fell to the floor in a faint, Mr. D. Huxley, the groomsman, stepped into the vacancy, and when the ring was found in Ivan’s pocket, it was handed to him. No sooner had it been passed over than the best man’s youngest brother was carried from the church. He also had fainted. The best man recovered sufficiently to accompany the wedding party from the church to the local Masonic Hall, where the reception was held. It passed off without a hitch.
