PLUNKET SOCIETY.

MEETING OF LEVIN BRANCH. The monthly meeting of the Royal I New Zealand Society for the Health of Women and Children was held at the Levin .Plunket Rooms on Monday, Ist May Mrs. 'C. Bartholomew being in the chair, and those present were Mesdames Hocking, Owen, Blenkhorn, Ryder, Pirani, Powell, Hunter, Stannard, Smaill, Black, Toss, Smith, Moir, Sutton and N. MeN. Thomson. Apologies were received from Mesdames Stewart, Ballingal, S. J. Thompson, Holdaway, O'Connor, Percy, Lett, Park, Amos, Goldsmith, Davie and Gavin. It was moved and seconded that owing to the first Monday in June being a public holiday the next monthly meeting be held on May 29th. The meeting passed a vote of thanks to Mrs. L. J. Hunter for her gift o'f the frame for Sir Truby's King's photograph and to Mr. H. Harvey for the mounting of same. Tile nurse's report wag as follows: The 'Plunket rooms were very well attended, again this month. There were only two new cases, 'both were for the town. One baby had indigestion and 'the other baby was normal, excepting \ ibeing under weight. All other cases | are progressing satisfactorily. The visited this month were Manakau, Ohau, Shannon, Buckley, Mangaore, Waitarere, and Hokio Beach, illiakara. Total of visits including | Levin:—Visits to homes 135; adults to I rooms, 171 j babies to rooms, 133; childlien to rooms, 23; new cases, 7; cases transferred, 2; prospective mothers, 4.
