BIBLE CLASS CAMP.

BAPTIST YOUNG MEN MEET. Drawn from Wellington, Manawatu, Hawke's Hay and Taranaki districts, 133 young men spent E'aster in Levin in a camp organised by the Wellington Baptist Young Men’s Bible Class Union. The majority of the visitors arrived on Thursday night and proceeded to the showgrounds, the centre of activities, leaving again for their homes on Monday. On Friday morning a roll call was held, followed by welcome addresses by His > Worship the Mayor (Mr. P. W. Goldsmith) and Mr. F. E. Trim. They expressed pleasure that the camp was being held in Levin and the hope that it would prove successful. Replies were made on behalf of the Wellington men by Mr. J. J. Burt, and on behalf of the provincial classes by Mr. S. G. Thompson, of Palmerston North. In the afternoon the camp photograph was taken and then study classes were held. Rev. L. A. North, secretary of the New Zealand Baptist Union, was the principal speaker throughout, assisted by Revs. D. C. McKee, J. R. Grave and R. Goldsmith.

During Friday afternoon the annual business meeting took place, at which several matters of importance were discussed. The evening was devoted to the senior and junior Gospel solo contests and oratory competitions. Saturday’s activities comprised a tennis tournament and swimming sports, while the afternoon brought a sports meeting. The camp concert in the evening was a particularly enjoyable feature. An Easter service was conducted on Sunday morning by Rev. Mr.. North, and in the evening an open air service was held in the town. The camp was ideally situated in tne showgrounds, many of the meetings having their venue out of doors. The majority of the visitors slept in the buildings, but a few of the moie sea soned campers occupied tents. e weather was very favourable and permitted full enjoyment of the programme
