WEDDING.

BARKER—MILES. The wedding was solemnised recently at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Levin, of Marian Marshall, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. Miles, and Milton, youngest son of Mrs. Marker, of Petoue, and the late Mr. Joseph Marker, formerly of Crook, County Durham, England. The' ceremony was preformed by the Rev. Dr. Jan Eraser and the service was fullv choral.

The bride, who Avas escorted by her father, wore a graceful gown of dull whiles embossed silk crepe threaded with tinsel and cut on classical lines, the panel skirt forming a train. The bodice was tight-fitting, with a how of tiny satin buttons down the centre of the l ack from the Peter Pan collar to the waist line. The tight-litting long sleeves were trimmed to match. Her iung veil was kept in place with a coronet of orange blossoms, and she carried a bouquet of rvliite roses,, chrysanthemums and maidenhair fern. The bridesmaid Avas Miss Barbara Miles, sister of the bride, Avhose gown was of deep forget-me-not blue stiffened net over blue silk taffeta. The skirt was fully flared and Avas trimmed with sprays of tiny pink and blue for-get-me-nots. Mr. Moffat, of Oroua Downs, was best man and Mr. Pat Miles acted ns usher.

The reception Avas held in the Druids’ Mall, where the bride’s mother, assisted by Mrs. Marker, received the guests. Mrs. Miles wore black Avith red accessories and she carried a posy of red flowers to tone.

The bridegroom’s mother wore a navy striped costume and carried a posy of violets and mauve flowers witli maidenhair fern.

The bride travelled in a model frock of clover green with halo hat and accessories to tone, and a grey squirrel necklet, the gift of the bridegroom.
