MR. A. P. WHATMAN. (i3y Telegraph—Press Association. MASTERTON, This Day. The death occurred this morning ot Mr. A. P. Whatman, who took a prominent part in raising tunas during the Croat War. He made many gifts, including the Whatman Home and School and the Soldiers’ Club, and gave returned soldiers' at Ahikouka, South Waira.rapa, laud for settlement. He donated the Whatman Home and other gifts to the Salvation Army, maintaining the former. The late Mr. Whatman was a keen supporter of boxing ana a single man about 75 years of age.
