PROSPERITY IN FIJI.
NO HURRICANE THIS YEAR (By Telegraph —Press Association. AUCKLAND, Last Night. The effect of Fiji’s escape from a hurricane this-season on the prosperity of Fiji was .referred tfe by Rt. Rev. Dr. L. Kempthome, Bishop in Polynesia, who arrived in Auckland by the Niagara. Dr. Kempthorne has come to the Dominion to attend a meeting on the Board of Missions and will return to Fiji in about six weeks'- time. At this time of the year, he said, people in Fiji were anxious whether there would bo a hurricane. The hurricane season was almost over, and the people were hoping they would escape this year, Fiji was, consequently, more prosperous.
