WOMAN ARRESTED ON MURDER CHARGE.
QUARREL OVER SMALL LADDER Received Sunday, 11.57 p.m. (By Telegraph-Press Assn. -Copyright) MELBOURNE. March 20. A woman was arrested on a murder charge to-day following a fatal stabbing at Chelsea, 20 miles from Mel bourne. The police were informed that the ’tragedy was the result of a quarrel concerning the ownership of a small ladder which, it is alleged, the woman removed from the house of Henry Richard King, aged 35, during the week. King took the ladder back, and on Saturday night an altercation took place, King being stabbed n the neck. He died in the hospital to-day from loss of blood. King was a brother of Alfred King, a bookmaker in Sydney. He leaves a widow and eight children, Isabella Johanson, aged 53, has been charged with murder.
