LEAGUE OF MOTHERS.

The League of [Mothers held its monthly meeting recently, Mrs. Hinde presiding over a good attendance of members. The meeting was opened With the league hymn and prayer. Apologies for absence were received from Mesdames Gibson, Kennedy, Mercer, Mew and Miss Kelly. Two vacancies on the committee were filled by [Mrs. Treen and Miss Edwards. The “thought” for the month was “L! you want to gather honey do not kick over a bee-hive.” After a very appetising afternoon tea, served by Mesdames Plaster, Ransom, Hough and Miss Dick, Miss Harding gave a most interesting talk on the Youth Hostel Movement in Britain and Germany. Mrs. Hinde voiced the appreciation of the meeting, The meeting closed with the .league prayer and the National Anthem.
