It is believed 100 were killed and 200 injured when the Punjab-llowrah express was derailed near Nihta. Station. The engine and three coaches were flung: down an embankment. It is officially announced, according to the Daily Mail’s correspondent, that 80 were killed mud 65 injured. All the victims were Indians. Turned-up raiis suggest'the disaster was due to sabotage.
