JURY WHO ACQUITTED PRISONER. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Last Night. The theft .of a roll of blue serge valued at £32 9s, belonging to the National. Woollen Mills, Wanganui, was alleged against Arthur Harold Anderson, a waterside worker, aged 45, in the Supreme Court to-day. The material was part of a consignment to be taken from the Fordsdale at King’s wharf on January 23 to Wanganui. Alternatively, prisoner was charged with receiving stolen goods. The jury returned a verdict of not guilty on both counts, ‘' The jury did not know your record as well as I did, ’ ’ said Mr Justice Ostler in discharging the prisoner.
