TIMBER MILL DESTROYED.

(By Telegraph—£ress Association.) AUCKLAND, Last Night. The Eoose (Shipping Company's timber mill at Mercer was burned down at 10 o'clock to-night. The iiames spread with great rapidity and the plant in the demolished building was badly damaged. A rough estimate of the total loss is £3OOO. Insurances are held by the South British for £BSO. The mill employed 20 men and had large orders on hand.
