A warning that motorists who were ordered by the Court tc attend instruction'classes for delinquent drivers and treated the matter lightly would be dealt with severely was given by Mr E. D. The scheme was introduced by Mr Mosley last Thursday, when he admitted to probation two motor-cyclists charged with dangerous driving and ordered them to attend classes in road courtesy. "There will be no treating the matter lightly," said Mr. Mosley. "Any person brought before the Court for disobeying the terms of probation will be dealt with in the most rigorous man ner, because of the gravity of the offence against Section 28 of the Motor Vehicles Regulations." Mr. Mosley said the new procedus* would be a permanent institution ?n Wellington. The traffic authorities, Transport Department and probation officer were co-operating with the greatest readiness to make the scheme a success.
