NAVAL DESTROYER TO RESCUE Received Wednesday, 11.5 p.m. WASHINGTON, March 16. Eight were aboard the sinking British schooner Avon Queen, captained by the owner, Mr. Robert McLean, whit?n was rescued off San Salvador Island by ti;<? United States destroyer Fairfax.
