NATIONAL PARTY’S CANDIDATE. (By Telegranh—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Last Night. “The National Party will definitely be putting a candidate in the field for the Manukau seat,” said Mr Lisle Alderton, chairman of the executive of the Auckland branch. “We expect to be in a position to announce him within a few days. He will be a good and a strong man.” Mr Alderton gave the information that the members of Parliament who j would assist in the campaign in Manukau on behalf of the party would be Messrs S. G. Holland (Christchurch North), J. Hargest (Awarua) and K. J. Holyoake (Motueka).
