Pressure is still low beyond the Chatham Islands but is rising, and an intense anticyclone extends across*- the North Tasman Sea on to New Zealand. A westerly depression ;covers the Western Tasman.

The forecast is for moderate to fresh but decreasing southerly wind, veering later to north-wes-terly. Weather mainly fair, but a few coastal showers. At first cold temperatures, but milder to-mor-row. Seas rough.
