TRAVELLING BAKING EXPERT.

MR. H. HANSEN APPOINTED (By Telegraph —Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Last Night. In order to act as liason officer between the millers and bakers the Government has appointed Mr. H. Hansen, hitherto employed by Bycroft, Limited, Auckland, as testing baker, to the position of travelling baking expert for New Zealand. Mr. Hansen started his new duties to-day. Recognised as an authority on baking, Mr. Hansen is the author of the wellknown text book “Bread Baking in New Zealand.” He will work under the Wheat Committee giving free service to both bakers and millers. He will advise millers on the best methods of overcoming baking problems and if necessary consult with millers on tendencies that have arisen or difficulties experienced in baking with their particular flour. The appointment has been made as part, of the scheme initiated by the .Minister of Industries and Commerce to control and assist the wheat, milling and baking industries.
