Received Sunday, 7 p.m. SYDNEY, Feb. j). At the Rusehill races New Zealand bred horses had a good day. The Sennight colt, Capeneus, having his first race, finished brilliantly from well back to win the second division of the Juvenile Handicap, while the Night Raid—Quadrilateral colt, Rob Rov, having his second race, also came from well back to take third place in the first division of the Juvenile, The Night Raid —Rod Shank gelding, Hands Up, which has been sparingly raced, gave a promising display in third in the Maiden Handicap, in which Clara Butt was unplaced.

Among the bettor known New Zea land bred performers, the Limond — Rose Queen horse, Mananui, most dis linguished himself ,by winning the Carliugford Mile with a paralysing finishing run. The results included; — JUVENILE HANDICAP, 5 furlongs,

The inter-Dominion trotting championship series had a brilliant opening last night. There was almost a record attendance, ideal weather and a perfect track. In the First Division Auburn Lad (2.9) clipped two seconds off the Western Australian State record for the mile. Lady Kolect and Lvicus made an excellent showing. Emilias Way appeared to want a further run.

Seven started. In a good start Lady Childewood Jed, making play front Willowcliff. A lap from home Logan Derby took charge from Lady Childewood, with Auburn Lad a length off, followed by Emilius Way. Logan Derby Jed into the straight ton yards off Lady Childewood, Auburn Lad, Willowcliff (fourth), with Emilius Way close up. Logan Derby won by ten yards, Auburn Lad being two yards further off third. Emilius Way was fifth. Times: 2.9* 2.10), 2.9.

Speedy Buy led with half a mile to go, followed by Condcrbv, Evicus, Iluonpic, Minton Ribbons, and he eventually beat Evicus by six yards, with Condorby and Minton Ribbons a dead-heat fifteen yards away. Chic Lulumick, the pacemaker, gave ground with half a lap to go to Nancy Wood, who just led from Chic Lulumick, John Donald and New Derby. In the straight New Derby was behind the two leaders, but lie made a brilliant burst and defeated Nancy Wood by a yard, with John Donald two yards away just clear of Wirra Walla. Then, came Lady Kolect and Chic Lulumick.
