.DRIVER IN SERIOUS STATE

G-ISBORNE, Nov. 30

As the train £rom Motuhora this morning was slowing down when approaching the Makarui Station it crashed into a cream lorry, the driver of which, Harry Kelso, sustained severe head injuries. His condition is serious.

The lorry was thrown on to the cattle stops and was badly damaged.

ACCUSED SENTENCED TO IMPRISONMENT.
