CHILLED BEEF FOR EXPORT.

LARGE NUMBER OF FARMERS WITNESS KILLING.

A large number of farmers visited Imlay Freezing Works this morning to witness the killing of 120 head of chilled beef, which will be railed to Wellington and shipped. This is the first attempt at exporting chilled beef from these works. The carcases include the prize winners in the New Zealand beef championship class at the recent Show.
