Trans-Pacific Air Transport Service

EARLY INAUGURATION BEING CONSIDERED. (By Telegraph-Press Assn.-Copyright). Received Monday, 8 p.m. WASHINGTON, Oct. 14. Pan-American Airways to-day, in correspondence with the PostmasterGeneral (Mr. James Farley) announced that it was considering the early inauguration of a transpacific air transport service between California and the Orient. Pan-American Airways has ordered ■ six 32-passenger flying-boats. The Post Office Department is prepared to ask Congress for an appropriation to finance transpacific mail-carrying.
