LEVIN WOMEN'S INSTITUTE
MONTHLY MEETING. The monthly meeting of the above Institute Avas held on September sth, in the OddfelloAvs’ Hall. Mrs. Thorpe presided o\’er a good attendance. Mrs Peit, a fellow member from Gore, Avas warmly Avelcomed and her selections on the bagpipes Avere very much enjoyed. Mrs Bryant, of Manakau, ga\ c an interesting demonstration on how to cure and dye sheep and rabbit skins, suitable for making children’s toys. She also had on view a very fine collection of soft toy animals, which any .person would feel proud to possess. A hearty vote of thanks • Avas accord.nl Mrs Bryant, some of aa'lioso handiwork has been presented to Lady Bledisloe. During the afternoon a tasty aft;. - - noon tea AA'as served by the hostesses Mcsdames Hough, Bateman, Jones and H. Mudgway. The meeting closed Avith the singing of the .National Anthem.
