Fred Perry (Britain) defeated Jack Talbot, of Buekhill Falls, Pennsylvania, 6—4, 6—l, 6—4. F. X. Shields defeated Jack Tidball (Hollywood), 6 —3, B—6,8 —6, 6—3. Further Results of Play Received Friday, 8 p.m. NEW YORK, Sept. 6. At Forest Hills, Wood defeated Frank Bowden (New York), 6 —2, 6 —4, 12—10; Allison defeated Mako, 6—3, 2—6, 6—l, 6—2. . Rain interrupted the completion of the third round.
